Privacy Notice
This notice explains what personal data this website collects, why, and the choices you have. It is written to be read in two minutes.
Who is responsible
This is the personal website of Fathy Gad, an individual based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Fathy Gad is responsible for the personal data collected through it. The site is run personally and not on behalf of any employer or client.
What is collected
Through the request form, and only when you choose to send it:
- your name, role, organisation and email address
- the request type and the message you write
- the page you sent it from, and the date and time
- your consent and the exact consent wording you agreed to
Nothing else. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, tracking pixels or advertising.
Hosting logs. Like any website, the hosting provider (Vercel) processes technical data — IP address, browser type and the page requested — to deliver pages and protect the site against abuse. These logs are kept under Vercel's own retention terms.
Why it is used
- To review and reply to your request, including deciding whether to share a CV or other material. The basis is your consent, given by ticking the box on the form.
- To protect the form from spam and abuse, using limits on how many requests can be sent.
Your details are not sold, shared with third parties, added to a mailing list or used for marketing.
Who can see it
Only Fathy Gad. Three service providers store or carry the data on his behalf, under their own security and data protection terms:
- Supabase — database where requests are stored, hosted in the European Union (Ireland)
- Vercel — website hosting and delivery network
- Resend — email delivery: it sends Fathy a notification of your request and, if approved, sends you the reply. Emails are sent from the European Union (Ireland) region.
How long it is kept
Requests are deleted automatically 12 months after they are sent, or sooner if you ask.
CVs and shared material
If a request is approved, you receive an email from noreply@mail.fathygad.me with a personal link that expires after 7 days. The material is shared for your own evaluation only; please do not forward or publish it. Links stop working when they expire.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data held about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect replies already sent.
To make a request, use the request form: choose Other, write "Privacy request" in the message, and use the same email address you used before so the request can be verified. You will receive a reply within 30 days. You may also contact the UAE Data Office.
Security
All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS with HSTS). Visitors can submit requests but cannot read any stored data. The database and CV storage are private and access-controlled, and submissions are rate-limited.
Children
This website is not directed at anyone under 18. Please do not send requests if you are under 18.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top of the page is updated.
